Our Experience

At first, our chickens found the foraging feeder very exciting. After showing them how it works a few times, they came closer. Then they quickly caught on, and now they are happy at the door when they see us approaching with the filled foraging feeder.

Instructions for use

You can easily put all sorts of treats into the top of the spiral and push them down firmly into the spiral. Please note, the harder you push it down, the more difficult it becomes. So don't make it too hard for them at the beginning...

If your chickens don't understand it? Or if they find it scary? "Pick" something out yourself while they watch, a piece of alfalfa or another tasty snack. Chickens are smart animals and copy behavior from both humans and other chickens very quickly!
